Funeral of Andrew J Macken
Funeral service for Andrew J Macken, retired prison guard, who died last Saturday, were held at 8:30 o’clock Tuesday morning at the family home, 1 Adams Street, with services at 9 o’clock at Holy Family Church. Rev. Alfred Horr said a solemn high Mass of requiem with Rev. Eugene McCarthy as deacon and Very Rev. Dean John A. Conway, sub-deacon. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery where final rites of the church were conducted by Dean Conway, assisted by Father McCarthy. Bearers were Thomas McLaughlin, James Shaw, John Gilmore, Patrick Mullally, John Hayes and Edward Hayes.
