“The Recorder’s Grist,” The (Auburn NY) Citizen Advertiser, 14 Sep 1909, p. 5, col. 2; Thomas Stiles, in jail about half the time, was arraigned before Recorder Stupp this morning on a charge of intoxication and suspicion of larceny. He was found guilty on the charge of intoxication and was sent to the Onondaga county penitentiary for 90 days. James Hibbard, who was in a North Street place with Stiles alleges that the latter got into his pockets about 6 o’clock yesterday afternoon and cleaned up for him to the extent of $16. The money was in $5 bills but search by the police failed to locate the money on Stiles’s person.
